Care centered on you
Prenatal care that actually
has time for you
Standard obstetric prenatal appointments average twelve minutes. Twelve. That is barely enough time to take your blood pressure and tell you everything looks fine — let alone build the relationship, answer the questions you were afraid to ask, or address the things keeping you up at night.
Prenatal care with a licensed midwife is different. Visits are longer and more in-depth. You have time to ask questions, understand your options, and develop a genuine relationship with the provider who will be with you at your birth. You are not just another appointment on a packed schedule — you are a person whose pregnancy matters.
Care is available for healthy, low-risk pregnancies in Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Fallbrook, and surrounding communities of Southwest Riverside County and North San Diego County.
"Your prenatal care experience is built on connection, trust, and continuity. You are fully supported, heard, and cared for throughout your entire journey."

What is included
Everything in your
prenatal care
Lab Work & Screenings
Complete prenatal labs, genetic screening referrals, ultrasound coordination, and thorough review of all results with time to ask questions and understand what everything means.
Ongoing Monitoring
Continuous assessment of your health and your baby's growth — blood pressure, fundal height, fetal heart tones, fetal positioning, and all standard prenatal assessments at every visit.
Nutrition & Wellness
Evidence-based nutritional guidance, supplement recommendations, herbal support, and lifestyle guidance throughout your pregnancy — because how you nourish yourself matters.
Birth Planning
Individualized birth preparation and planning, including home birth education, birth preference development, and preparation for labor, birth, and the early postpartum period.
Direct Access & Support
Direct access to your midwife for questions and concerns between visits — not a phone tree, not a nurse line. Real access to the person who knows your pregnancy.
Complementary Referrals
Referrals to chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths, pelvic floor therapists, and other complementary providers when appropriate — an integrative approach to your pregnancy care.
Your visit schedule
A structured schedule built
for your safety
Prenatal visit frequency follows an evidence-based schedule designed to ensure both you and your baby are consistently monitored throughout your pregnancy — with visits becoming more frequent as your due date approaches.
Each visit is longer and more in-depth than standard obstetric care — allowing time for physical assessment, lab review, education, birth planning, and meaningful conversation. You leave every appointment informed and confident, not with a stack of unanswered questions.
Care begins with an initial consultation and intake, ideally between 8 and 12 weeks — though we welcome families who are further along and looking to transition to midwifery care. Same-week appointments are often available.

Safety is assessed throughout your pregnancy
— not just at birth
If circumstances change and hospital care becomes the safest option at any point in your pregnancy, you will be supported through that transition with clear communication, coordination, and continuity of care. Transfer is not a failure — it is part of responsible midwifery practice.

Ideally between 8 and 12 weeks, though we welcome families at any point in pregnancy. If you are further along and considering a transition to midwifery care, reach out — we are happy to discuss what that looks like for your specific situation.
How long are prenatal visits?
